I planned another trip to Filoli House in April, specifically as a cosplay photo shoot trip with a friend. We mostly utilized the garden outside for our backdrop, so unlike my first trip, I didn’t go inside at all. It really helped that the weather in April was much better than October last year, so staying outdoors the entire time was much more tolerable weather-wise.
Between our cosplay photos, I still took some scenery shots of Filoli’s garden. I don’t think I’d ever get tired of these spots, even though they no longer have novelty to propel them. The archway garden gates are especially scenic.
I finally had time to sort through the photos now, since there was nearly 500 photos to filter through (and procrastinate) to pick out usable shots from. The more I take portraits, the more I appreciate how much work goes into producing good shots.
Overall, the trip was really productive and gave me good practice on this area of photography1.
