November started off bad and then I got pretty busy with work, so here I am again posting my photos over a month later.
These are from my day out back in late October. The day out was specifically to go take photos of some friends dressed up, so I was actually acting as photographer for the day. I ended up with quite a few good shots from the effort. Overall it was a very good day.
In between the portraits, I took some of my usual nature shots. I took both my Sony ZV-E10 (paired with my Minolta 45mm and Cokin filters) and my Fujifilm X-T3 (paired with the 35mm lens).

There was a pond with a lot of Canadian geese and ducks, and after I taking photos of my friends, I snapped these.

The view across the waters against the hills in the backdrop was also nice. We were there mostly in the afternoon, and there wasn’t too crowded with people. Throughout the day, the temperature was actually pretty high, and I melted in the sun. The bright, sunny day was useful for photos at least.

Switching between my two cameras was actually a huge pain. This was the first time I took more than one camera out, and while I’m happy with the photos from both cameras, the next time I attempt this I will need a better plan for alternating between the two. Switching straps took way too long, and I ended up just holding my T3 without anything attached because it was easier than trying to switch the strap back to it. I think at the least, for next time, I should just have both on neck straps and not worry about storing the other away so much.
It didn’t help the clunkiness of the cameras that I put the sunsoft Cokin filter on my manual Minolta lens. The results were at least very nice.

At one point, we spotted this single white duck amongst the others, and with the sunsoft filter, it looked positively glowing.

Near the end of the day, there was a pretty funny moment when I was taking photos of one friend posing by a tree, and we heard this unnerving wave of noise. We looked over and a group of ducks waddled by, stomping over the dried leaves.

Before we left, some of the Canadian geese walked by so I could capture them at a closer distance. I had my Sony camera out with the manual lens, so I did not focus at the right distance while trying to capture them before they walked off lol.

Overall it was a very satisfying day, and I enjoyed playing photographer for my friends.
For next time, I made plans to visit the Golden Gate Bridge and walk across it to the north of the bay. Weather willing, it should be a good time.

Great pictures! It really seemed like a nice day out and the geese were cute too. The first two pictures side to side make a beautiful panorama 😀
Thank you! It was entirely accidental and taken between other photos in my roll lol, but they turned out perfectly aligned in the end.
