I took these photos on a stroll before dinner with my mom, on the tail end of my home visit for the holidays. It was the day after Christmas, and I wanted to visit the park and trail near the center of town. Every time I took a photo, my mom didn’t understand why I bothered, since it was such a boring view in her eyes.
I thought it was a nice view though. Beauty in the mundane. I think there’s a lot of interesting places all around us if we bother to stop and look.

As the sun went down, the sky took this really nice tone to it. I aimed my camera at the trail-end of the view, but the more interesting purple-hued sky as the sun started setting was unfortunately set against a bunch of commercial buildings, lol so I didn’t try to capture it.

After my mom tolerated my little walk, we headed over to a local Korean restaurant and enjoyed hot food and nice conversations. I ran into an old middle school classmate at the restaurant. Small world.
